Vendor leasing is a system whereby, say, a construction equipment manufacturer or mechanical engineering company and SL Financial Services work hand in hand with the customer. Companies that additionally offer leasing and financing packages create real added value for their customers, and this translates into higher sales.
This three-sided constellation - the vendor, the leasing company and the lessee - offers distinct advantages for all parties and so it is not surprising that this leasing model is growing in significance. Due to our company background we have a special emphasis on equipment from manufacturers based in Germany and are proud of the successful cooperation with our partners for many years in more than 40 countries.
General advantages:
- Monthly payments instead of purchase price/discounts
- No counterparty/default risk for the manufacturer
- Additional services (e.g. maintenance contracts) ensure ongoing contact with customers; the end of the term also offers an opportunity to negotiate follow-up business
- Interest subsidies and control of the residual value enable exceptionally low payments in comparison to a bank loan
